Tomago Aluminium employees came together to connect, check in and support one another as part of R U OK? Day.
A lunchtime BBQ hosted by MATES in Manufacturing provided an opportunity for employees to take a break and catch up with their colleagues. Team members also signed the MATES in Manufacturing flag, demonstrating their shared commitment to supporting mental health and wellbeing across our workforce.
Tomago Aluminium’s onsite Converge wellbeing consultant, Nikki Strong, joined employees at the BBQ before visiting production areas throughout the afternoon and evening. The visits gave employees an opportunity to meet Nikki and learn more about the confidential wellbeing support available to them.
Cupcakes were also shared across departments, encouraging crews to pause, connect and start meaningful conversations with their workmates.
R U OK? Day is an important reminder that a simple conversation can make a real difference, not just on one day of the year, but every day.
At Tomago Aluminium, we are committed to creating a workplace where people look out for one another, feel comfortable speaking up and know that support is available when they need it.
