Tomago Aluminium employees and their families came together on Sunday at the Hunter Region Botanic Gardens for a Family Picnic Day.
With the sun shining, the event provided an opportunity for our workforce and their loved ones to relax, connect and celebrate the long-term future of the smelter.
Throughout the day, guests enjoyed live music, food trucks, ice creams, rides, a climbing wall, bungee activities, face painting, garden games and plenty of entertainment for the kids. Families could also take part in garden tours and coach tours of the smelter, giving them a closer look at where their loved ones work and the important role Tomago plays in the Hunter and Australia’s manufacturing industry.
The day also included a charity raffle, with $3000 raised for Variety, the children’s charity.
