Tomago Aluminium has proudly donated a further $35,000 to two local charities through its 2026 Workplace Giving Program, with $17,500 presented to Hunter Animal Rescue and $17,500 presented to Our Circle Maitland.

The donations were made possible through the generosity of Tomago Aluminium employees, who contribute through voluntary payroll donations each pay cycle. Tomago Aluminium also contributes to the program each year, helping maximise the impact of the funds raised for local charities.

Hunter Animal Rescue was nominated by employee Rosy in recognition of the organisation’s dedication to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned, neglected and at-risk animals across the Hunter region.

President of Hunter Animal Rescue, Caroline Hawkless, said the donation would make a significant difference.

“On behalf of everyone at Hunter Animal Rescue, thank you to the employees of Tomago Aluminium for this incredibly generous donation. This funding will help us rescue up to 70 cats or 35 dogs, providing them with essential veterinary care, rehabilitation and the opportunity to find loving forever homes. We are truly grateful for your support and for helping us give these animals a second chance.”

Our Circle Maitland was nominated by Mobile Maintenance Supervisor Gavin Bray for its work supporting people experiencing hardship by providing free meals, practical assistance and a welcoming space for those in need.

Lee Piggott, Electrical Coordinator for Worley and volunteer at Our Circle Maitland, thanked the Tomago Aluminium workforce for its generosity.

“We are incredibly thankful for this wonderful donation. Support like this allows us to continue providing essential assistance to vulnerable people in the Maitland community.”

These donations form part of the $150,000 raised through Tomago Aluminium’s 2026 Workplace Giving Program. Earlier this month, the company presented $80,000 to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and $17,500 to OzHarvest, with the final donation to Charlie’s Run for Kids to be presented in the coming weeks.

Tomago Aluminium thanks all Workplace Giving members for their ongoing generosity and commitment to making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work.
