This week we presented an additional $17,500 donation to Charlie’s Run for Kids, marking the final cheque presentation from Tomago Aluminium’s 2026 Workplace Giving Program.

The cheque was presented to Charlie’s Run for Kids volunteers Sue Wilson and her daughter Jess, alongside Emily Leversha, Liquid Metal Operations Supervisor, who nominated the charity as part of this year’s employee Workplace Giving vote.

Made possible through the generosity of Tomago Aluminium employees who contribute through voluntary payroll donations, together with the company’s annual contribution, the donation will provide practical and financial support to local children battling cancer and their families.

Accepting the donation, Sue thanked our workforce for making a real difference to families across the Hunter.

“This donation will have an immediate impact on local families facing one of the toughest challenges imaginable. Every dollar stays in our community and helps ease the financial burden of childhood cancer by providing practical support, accommodation assistance, essential equipment and services that allow families to focus on what matters most – their child. We can’t thank Tomago Aluminium and its employees enough for their incredible generosity.”

This presentation concludes Tomago Aluminium’s 2026 Workplace Giving Program, with a total of $150,000 distributed to five local charities thanks to the generosity of our Workplace Giving members.

This year’s recipients, chosen by our employees were:

  • Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service
  • Charlie’s Run for Kids
  • Our Circle Maitland
  • OzHarvest
  • Hunter Animal Rescue

A huge thank you to our workforce for their ongoing generosity.
