This morning, at a special Morning Tea and Cheque Presentation, we proudly donated $80,000 to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service as part of our 2025 Workplace Giving Program. This donation is part of the $150,000 raised this year directly through contributions from our employees.

“That’s 14 hours of flying time.14 lives that could potentially be saved as a result of this donation. Thank you to every person who donates, and thanks to the AWU Unions for starting the program over 15 years ago,” said Danny Eather, Business and Community Partnership Manager for the Westpac Rescue Team.

Those who attended enjoyed hot food and cakes, and heard from both Danny Eather and AWU Vice President Cameron Wright about how the program began and how the funds will support this vital service.

Since the program’s launch, it has continued to grow, with more than $1 million now donated to support the helicopter service.

“We are incredibly proud of our Workplace Giving Program and the commitment our people have shown in supporting those in need,” said TAC CEO Jerome Dozol. “This is a cause that’s important to many of us, and we sincerely thank everyone who contributes through payroll giving.”

That brings our 2025 Workplace Giving Program to a close and we look forward to seeing who we’ll support in 2026!
