This morning, during Soul Hub’s weekly volunteer team meeting, Michael Kemp (Health, Safety and Environment Manager) and Katie Burns (Communications Advisor) proudly presented a $17,500 cheque on behalf of Tomago Aluminium’s Workplace Giving Program.
Michael and Katie heard firsthand how the donation will directly support the hundreds of guests who rely on the service each day. Soul Hub volunteers spoke with gratitude about the impact this contribution will make—from funding hot meals and pantry staples to ensuring essential services continue to run.
With the help of more than 300 volunteers, Soul Hub provides a safe, welcoming space every day for people experiencing homelessness or hardship. Beyond hot meals, the Hub offers access to volunteer doctors, hairdressers, laundry services and more—restoring dignity and providing support where it’s needed most.
“We’re so incredibly grateful to everyone at Tomago Aluminium for choosing to give to Soul Hub through your workplace giving program. Your gift of $17,500 will help Soul Hub provide meals, practical support, and essential services to people who are doing it tough. Your generosity and kindness will make a real difference in the lives of some of our community’s most vulnerable people. ON behalf of all our Guests, thank you!”, said General Manager Matt Ortiger.
This donation marks the third of four major contributions being made through our Workplace Giving Program, which has raised an impressive $150,000 over the past year—thanks to the generosity of our people and support from the business.
We’ll conclude our presentations on Monday 15 July, where we’ll hand over $80,000 to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service at a special morning tea.
Thank you again to our amazing team members who contribute to our program.
