LMO Truck Operator, Kevin Peter, has been using scrap wood that he finds onsite at TAC to make recycled toys and handcrafted items for many years. He has also made several handcrafted Tomago vehicles which he sells to TAC for a charity donation.
Last year Kevin and TAC donated $1,500 to Little Wings, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing complimentary and professional flight and ground transport services for seriously ill children residing in rural and regional areas of New South Wales.
This year Kevin chose to donate the $1,500 to CareFlight. CareFlight is a critical care aeromedical retrieval service, that plays a pivotal role in saving lives and serving the community by providing high-speed medical assistance.
Representatives from both CareFlight and Little Wings were invited onsite today for a cheque presentation and morning tea.
Kevin also presented some beautiful hand-carved wooden planes for the two charities to give to sick children who use their services and donated a wooden helicopter to CareFlight.
The representatives from both charities expressed deep gratitude for the generous donations and extended their heartfelt appreciation to both Kevin and the entire TAC business. The contributions made by Kevin and TAC will undoubtedly make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and patients served by CareFlight and Little Wings.
