Last week, Tomago Aluminium exhibited at the Newcastle & Lake Macquarie Careers Expo and the Hunter Valley Careers Expo to promote our business and our 2026 Apprenticeship Program.

The Newcastle event, held at the Racecourse last Thursday, saw more than 4,000 students come through the doors to explore different career options. The Hunter Valley Careers Expo followed on Friday at the Maitland Basketball Stadium, welcoming over 2,000 students from schools across the Hunter.

We joined more than 100 other exhibitors, including local employers, as well as representatives from TAFE, universities, training providers and employment agencies.

Our goal was to introduce students to what we do at Tomago Aluminium and encourage them to apply for our 2026 Apprenticeship Program, which is open for applications until 3 June.

We’ve already seen a great response with the number of applications, and we’re looking forward to continuing to support the next generation of apprentices.

We’ll also be attending the Hunter Region Apprenticeship Pathways Explorer this Tuesday at Maitland Town Hall to connect with more students and their parents and answer any questions about the program.
