Tomago’s safety culture was named among the best in NSW at the 15th SafeWork NSW gala awards ceremony on the 25th October.
These prestigious awards were established to promote high standards of workplace health and safety and return to work outcomes in workplaces around NSW.
Trish Rapley, Kate Brown, Simon Mitchell, Steve Blundell, Scott Fauchon, Brad Mace, Craig Broadbent, Anthony Cook and Craig Rogers attended the event (pictured above at the Awards dinner).
Out of 27 businesses nominated, Tomago was chosen in the top six businesses that progressed to a site visit from SafeWork officials.
An intensive application process saw all aspects of Tomago’s commitment to keeping its workforce safe in what can often be a high-risk environment and ultimately feel supported and confident that safety in the workplace is the top priority at Tomago.
To be named as a finalist in the Excellence in Workplace Health & Safety Culture category is an honour and we should all feel proud of the safety culture at Tomago. “You can’t fake culture,” Trish Rapley said. “And we have a safety culture here to be proud of.”
