Tomago Aluminium proudly recognised International Women’s Day across site today, celebrating the contribution of women in our workforce and in our community.
To mark the occasion, we released a special International Women’s Day film featuring women from across our business. In the film, they share insights into their roles, what they give to TAC and what we gain through their skills, experience and perspective. We invite you to watch the film here: https://youtu.be/8ksZe6HJWzc
We also came together for a site-wide breakfast. Employees were welcomed at the front gates with fresh muffins, hot croissants and coffee from the Sprockets coffee van. It was an opportunity for teams across all areas of the business to pause and acknowledge the day.
A Pledge Wall invited employees to share messages of support and commitment, reinforcing the role we each play in fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace. As a small token of appreciation gift bags were distributed to our female workforce, including chocolates, a lip balm and a thank you card recognising their valued contribution to Tomago.
We were also proud to again sponsor the Port Stephens International Women’s Day event at Murrook Cultural Centre, with representatives from TAC, including members of our DEI Committee, attending the event.
International Women’s Day is an important reminder that diversity, equity and inclusion are integral to building a strong and high performing organisation. We thank our female workforce for the impact they make every day, and acknowledge the partners, daughters, mothers, sisters, grandmothers and aunties who shape our workplaces and communities.
