As part of our ongoing commitment to the community, and to help prevent food waste, we donated leftover meat and bread from our 40th Birthday Picnic Day to OzHarvest.
OzHarvest was extremely grateful for our donation, which mainly benefited Men’s boarding homes across Newcastle, with some also going to local charities. OzHarvest aims to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030 and provide nutritious meals for all. They collect surplus food and distribute it to those in need, which is why Tomago Aluminium partnered with them.
OzHarvest makes a significant impact, helping over 30 million people each year with just 3,000 food donors. Imagine the difference they could make if more businesses contributed their surplus food to this cause.
Together, we can support OzHarvest’s mission to reduce food waste and ensure everyone has access to nourishing meals.
