Following our first Workplace Giving cheque presentation earlier this week, we visited Hunter Wildlife Rescue yesterday to present a donation of $17,500 on behalf of our workforce.

Based at the Hunter Wetlands Centre, Hunter Wildlife Rescue is run by dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate injured, sick, and orphaned native animals across the Hunter region. From baby possums to injured raptors, the organisation plays a vital role in supporting wildlife impacted by urban development, road accidents, and extreme weather events.

This donation will go directly towards essential rescue operations, including food and veterinary care for hundreds of animals across all species—many found in the same bushland, roads, and waterways where we live and work every day.

“Run solely by volunteers, we are reliant on generous donations like this to continue rescuing, caring for, and returning these animals to their natural habitat,” said Kerry Walker, Vice Chair of Hunter Wildlife Rescue. “We thank the Tomago workforce sincerely—this donation will help us provide food and vet care for at least the next three months.”

It marks the second of four major donations being made through our Workplace Giving Program, with Soul Hub and Jenny’s Place set to receive theirs next week. Together, these contributions form part of the $150,000 raised over the past year, thanks to the generosity of our team and a significant contribution from the business.

We’ll wrap up our cheque presentations with a special morning tea onsite on Monday 15 July where we’ll present $80,000 to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
